Our Glow Natural Story

A nine-year-old dancer who couldn't find safe skincare. So she made her own.

Aria spends a lot of time in dance studios. Competition days mean early mornings, stage makeup, and long hours under hot lights. And at the end of all of it, she needed something gentle enough to take the makeup off without stripping her skin raw.

That's where the search started. We went looking for a kids' skincare range that was safe, affordable, and actually worked for the kind of skin-stress that comes with dancing competitively. Something she could use after a big competition day and feel good about.

We couldn't find it. The kids' ranges in big chain stores looked fun, but the ingredient lists told a different story. Synthetic fragrances, unnecessary preservatives and fillers with no business being on a child's skin. As an aromatherapist with a background in non-toxic formulation, I knew exactly what I was reading. I kept putting the bottles back.

Aria's response was very Aria: "Then let's just make it ourselves."

So we did.

"I wanted skincare that actually smelled nice and was safe. I didn't think that should be so hard to find.

In 2025, Aria launched Glow Natural. She led the brief: the scents, the feel, what she actually wanted to use after a long day of dancing or school. I handled the formulation side, drawing on my aromatherapy training to make sure every ingredient earned its place. The result is a range that smells genuinely lovely, sits gently on young skin, and contains nothing we'd need to justify to a worried parent.

Every product is made in Sydney. If you're local to South Hurstville, you can pick up in person at The Spiritual Toolbox on Allen St.

Made for dance mums (and dads) too. If your kid competes and you've been using whatever's on hand to get stage makeup off after a big day, you'll understand why we built this. The Gentle Foaming Cleanser was made with exactly that in mind.

The people behind it

Aria is the founder, the creative director, and the reason any of this exists. She's twelve now, she dances competitively, and she has strong opinions about how things should smell and feel. The product range is essentially a list of everything she wished she could safely find in a store.

Rhi is Aria's mum. Aromatherapist, non-toxic formulation nerd, and the person who makes sure everything is actually safe before it goes anywhere near your kid's skin. She also runs The Spiritual Toolbox, a practitioner-made metaphysical supply store in South Hurstville.
